Simon will be appearing in a touring production of Sleuth, starting on 22nd January 2008 in Windsor for two weeks, then to various locations around the UK on a 16 week tour (starting 4th February and ending 25th May? - if my maths is right - so any dates after this will be without Simon, if the play continues)(Edit - see dates below)

At present the only other location I can confirm is The Grand in Wolverhampton in April. More details as soon as I'm aware of them but it's still a long time away for details to come too quickly.

This probably means he will be leaving Casualty at the end of the year as most of us suspected, but no confirmation of that yet.(Edit - has now been confirmed)

Still no new locations confirmed, yet. But tickets are already on sale for both Wolves and Windsor.

All details are subject to change so please confirm with the theatre when booking

Simon has confirmed that he'll start rehearsals for Sleuth on January 14th (this might be earlier now too)

Simon's co star will be Micheal Praed and we will be sharing details with his official site so we can keep as upto date as possible. (Micheal will be playing Milo, so Simon will be playing Andrew(?)) Micheal Praed Official Site (added 01/11/07)

Full Dates
Will update with websites when they come online. Thanks to the very very nice person who gave them to me. I am forever in your debt, tho I think you know that anyway. I have too many date tho will confirm them. Edit: All 23 will be staring our Simon! (not bad for a "16 week" tour  )

Yay, I'm glad Simon has more theatre work lined up! I shall of course be accompanying Kirsty on a trip to see him (as long as it's not a repeat of The Unexpected Guest, that was such a bad day weatherwise!)

Sad he's leaving Casualty but I thought it might be coming :(

Ya beauty, I'll be going to that then definately since he was replaced by Jack Ellis in The Unexpected Guest by the time it arrived in Glasgow.

I am so excited!! Another chance, and so soon, to see Simon in the flesh. I loved the Unexpected Guest, and meeting him obviously made my life, and so I have to go again.

I'd love to go with you guys, that would be awesome!!

Thanks for the news Shelli, where did you hear about it?

Well done and Thank You Shelli, you're an absolute star but we've told you that so many times. Knowing so far in advance gives us an advantage over Joe Public in the 'get the front seats' stampede.

You guys who were fortunate enough to see him in The Unexpected Guest have a great advantage over folks like me, Jack Ellis was good but he wasn't Simon.

Hmm, I should check it out. Should I try again to come to the UK?
Of course I will not be able to come and see every theatre he is going to play in.
I will miss him terrible when he leaves Casualty. But the man's got to do what man's got to do.

Simon possibly feels that when his contract expires in December, then is the time to leave and explore new career opportunities like Sleuth and The Unexpected Guest previously. Leave while Harry Harper is still loved instead of staying on and maybe damaging the character somehow.

Of course Heidi, you can't travel to the U.K every time Simon appears in theatre unless money falls of the tree in your back garden! It's just a window of opportunity to see him on stage since you missed him before.

Oh I really hope he comes to Manchester or even Preston, I was gutted about The Unexpected Guest!

I notice it's a Bill Kenwright production as was The Unexpected Guest so I've a suspicion the theatre it MAY go to for me to go to see it, is it another Agatha Christie play? He looks as lovely as ever in the promotional material.

Shelli, we're all obviously placing our 100% trust in you to post the full date and location schedules when you get them. We know how super duper you are, that's why we love ya.

It's NOT another Christie one. Simon's been in it before and I believe has directed it before.

You might also try looking on theatre guides (eg http://www.whatsonstage.com/ )as they might get all the info before me as I can't guarantee I can get all the details required before anyone else but I will be trying. My source didn't even know Wolves was confirmed till I told them :) !
