My tendencies recently have been to tune the radio in and just listen to a variation of music. Fortunately my boss at work allows us to have our radio on and that keeps me going between 8am-4.30pm. I alternate between the stations which play the older stuff and the party tunes on a Friday & Saturday night.

The '70's and 80's music is fantastic and segments of the 90's are cool as well.

It is quite at the moment. I like to keep it that way for a bit in the morning. Only natures sounds outside I don't mind.
I need about 1 hour to wake up in the morning, you better not get in discussion with me than. If you do you have to accept the consiquences with it. :)

Has anyone bought Mika's album? I love his first 2 singles and am contemplating buying the album.

No, I like songs that have more than 10 words in them and you can actually hear what's being sung. I heard him when he was on the Graham Norton show and thought he was terrible.

I know he isn't and will never be of Sir Paul McCartney standards but his tunes are quite catchy. Pure bubble gum type music but the world is made up of all kinds. I can listen to a wide selection of artists and music types.

The only song I know that has a maximum of 10 words was Ride on Time by Black Box. It was out roughly 1990 and I've hated it with a vengeance from the minute and second I first heard it.

Just now, I was playing along on my guitar with Iron Maiden.
The Trooper, Fear of The Dark, Dance of Dead,...
I love those solo's. Not that I am as good as them, far from. I am not a solo player, but I am teaching myself a bit and Iron Maiden is a good group to play along with.

I've never listened to Iron Maiden *the shame* I might try and get hold of some of their stuff, any recomendations for which songs or albums?

And back to Mika, I saw him live at Radio one's big weekend and I must say he was amazing! Much better than some of the 'big names' he is a real performer and it was like a show! I was very reluctant to go and watch but i'm glad my mate dragged me there!

And you know, everyone secretly loves catchy songs! :P

'The number of the Beast' is a very good album.
The Trooper and Run to the Hills is on this album. Great songs.
