Surprised and excited.
I just got home from the gym to find a huge jiffy bag on the door mat. To my surprise I won a competition and am now the proud owner of a Harley-Davidson leather guitar strap and picks. :happydance: :yahoo:

I had forgotten I'd even entered it.
I never win anything, so I'm as chuffed to bits.

I'm so happy for you. I'm actually a bit jealous too, but in a kind way. It is double fun when you completed had forgotten it.
Take a photo of it and post it here please.

My dear, what is DVLA?
I don't want to sound stupid, it are these things that are completely new for me. But in a way I like it, because I can learn new things. You all are my teachers.
Just as long as I don't have to take a test, I'm OK with it

It's the Driving Vehicle License Association, where you apply to get a driving license or have any queries concerning your license :)

Yeah he is okay thank you a bit shocked. Yep you are right the robber was a chav, had one of those mini motor things. I just hope the police find him, I know he probably won't get his possessions back but knowing he's been caught and dealt with will make me feel better. Thanks again.

Its awful and I'm sorry to hear it has happened to your son Debs.

But round here it is a somewhat common occurance unfortunatly. Many times we have been chased by gangs of chavs after our mobiles, MP3's, Money. We were once on the park and my friend joe was threatened with a knife to his neck, all they got off him was £1.20! Its not worth trying to keep hold of things though, most of them round here carry, knives, baseball bats and I have even seen a lad take out a gun behin somerfield, when he saw my terrified look he was like, it's not loaded! I quickly left! And i'm sure it's the same up and down the country! And you can't see who they are because they are normally blacked out...

Jee, this is really awful.
Last year, a boy in Brussels got killed for his MP3 player. Two guys stabbed him and he died.
I think I will hand over my possessions real fast. But that is what the boy in Brussels did as well. and still they stabbed him.
What has become of the world?

Those who know me know this is my favourite line of the moment, nature or nurture? To me the answer is simple because whatever nature there is in has to be nurtured therefore nurture seems to be the root cause of evilness after all if we are nurtured as nature intended we wouldn't need nurturing would we?

So I think society as a whole needs to look at the way in which we are nuturing people to prevent these things from happening

But (to continue the metaphor) flowers can only grow where there are seeds.

What I mean is some people are capable of things without being taught, good and bad. And some people with the exact same upbringing (ie brothers and sisters) can be completely different one turns bad one turns good. No matter what you do there will always be bad people in the world and it's been there through out history.

The thing is to deal with it and not let it affect you, help those you can in anyway you can and be the best person you can be and hope others do the same, if we all do at least that then the world will be a better place inspite of the bad
