The booking agents should be wearing a mask, a £16 charge beyond the cost of 2 tickets is ridiculous. I guess they've got the customer by the 'short and curlies', if you want to see an artist live or show, you either pay it or miss out.

If previous gigs are anything to go by, he'll be fantastic. The Pretenders are his support band. My tickets are for the pitch seating area Row B.

I'll let you know how it went for sure.

Another amazing gig from Rod, he was fantastic despite the p*****g rain all night. Came home like a drowned rat but it was 101% worth it.

I've seen a few people/bands live but no-one comes anywhere close to this.

Glad you had a good time, was it an outside gig then?

It was at Hampden Park but he did mention it had rained at all his U.K gigs so far. I had a fantastic time thanks, Becky.

I wasn't quite sure where to put this, but seeing as it was at a gig I thought I'd stick it in here.

I went to see my friends band Saturday night playing at a local pub and we were all a bit surprised to find that Ben from X Factor was there watching the gig too. I didn't believe Mac when he said till Ben actually walked past me.

Just a bit of useless information for you.

I don't think this says a thing to me. I don't know Ben from X Factor hahaha.
How was your friends band? Did they play good? What kind of music do they play?

The band are brilliant, it's called Mac's Diner and they are Roger on Drums, Barry on Bass and Mac on guitar. Mac (the guitarist/singer) was pro years ago.
They play blues/rock - ac/dc, jimmy hendrix, small faces, etc, that type of music.
I've seen them countless times over the past 5 years and have never seen a bad gig yet.

I love going to see them, always makes my day.

I'm sure they are good if they play those types of music. That is also my kind of music I like to play on my guitar. Gets all my frustrations out of my system.

But I do have a couple coming up

Madina Lake.. a great band if you like pop rock, they're awesome live
and Bowling For Soup, 7th time, you'd think I'd get bored

All those names you are mentionning here don't ring a bell to me. I don't have the slightest idea who you are talking about. But I'm sure they are good, that's what I can make out of your replies.

I don't know who these bands are either but am surmising that they are pretty good because only hip & cool people access this site.

Personally, there's no gigs on the horizon for me. Although I like many artists/bands, I wouldn't necessarily pay to see them live.

The same goes for me. I do want to go to the Dixie Chicks ones. I love them too.

The live parts the best experience :D It's what I spend every penny on.. Mind you some bands are shockingly bad live

Yeah I agree Kerri, although it must be said Martyn Joseph is amazing live, I would even go to the extent of saying he is better live than on CD. Last time he had a support act Martin Sexton, he was fantastic!! And again so much better Live. I think you need to see him live to understand just how good he is, his CD doesn't do him enough justice, MeatLoaf was ace, but CD is better! I think maybe becuase MeatLoaf was at the M.E.N, with thousands of seats where as the gigs I have been to of Martyns are about 100/130 seats, much better feel to it. And I love the acoustic guitar so, anything with acoustics I enjoy!
