My next scheduled visits to the theatre isn't until January 2011, I've got the Queen inspired production 'We will rock you' on the 29th and Psychic Sally (Morgan) on the 31st, I'm hoping to attend a Christmas panto over the festive period though.

Live theatre is amazing.

The world of theatre has lost one of it's shinning lights, a man who embraced his audience and accepted his applause with amazing grace & gratitude. The Unexpected Guest, Sleuth and Sound of Music was blessed to have Simon in their cast, he brought so much to each production and undoubtedly, would've been an inspiration to those who worked with him in live performance.

I'm now booked up for Sound of Music in Glasgow which is at The Kings Theatre between May 10th & June 4th, 2010, no confirmation (as yet) on casting but it'll remain a fabulous show whether Michael & Connie and the others remain with the tour or not. It's front row seats for me.

Jason Donovan is taking over from Michael as Captain von Trapp from January 29th - June 25th. An interesting choice, not someone I would've thought of but he'll bring a new dimension to the role. He's only  42 years of age so a little younger than Simon & Michael.

I still remember him at Scott Robinson in Neighbours between 1986 & 1989 :P

I saw Dancing Shoes, the George Best story, on Saturday (17/09) - excellent show. The story of a football genius and flamboyant personality on and off the football pitch, embracing his life as a 15 year old leaving Belfast for Man Utd and onwards to soccer in America. Beyond his professional career, his family life - primarily his parents, 1st wife Angie and son Calumn, and love of nightclubs & champagne was well scripted by the production company (GBL).

Rock 'n' Roll Heaven on Saturday (24/09), I won the tickets in a competition - songs from Elvis, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Eddie Cochran, Ricky Nelson & Del Shannon. Entertaining show although I didn't recognise some of the songs.

It was  to watch the older folks giving it yeeha, the audience age range was quite varied right enough, a good reflection on how quality songs live on while the artists have passed away.

I must highly recommend Sister Act, a magnificant show - exceptional performances from the whole cast and wonderful set. I'm going to see it again September 2012 with family.

Went to see the tour production of Blood Brothers (10/07) with Marti Pellow, I must say it was excellent. Very much recommended.

The LadyBoys of Bangkok was fantastic, real entertainment. It was an audience participation show, myself & my friend Fionna were front row - I ended up on stage, 1st up at that.

And that was after just 1 drink.

Well recommended.
