Can any of you help, there is someone on another forum (which both will remain nameless for personal reasons) who is really starting to get on my nerves. Every time I post a new puzzle she always answers it, doesn't let others get a chance and replies with one's I can't get. I've tried googling her latest one but I can not find the answer, I was really hoping some of you may know the answer or better still come up with a puzzle she never be able to figure out or find the answer to. I am sure she just looks up the answers, I do not believe she knows everything despite her trying to.

Here is her puzzle...
"What is special about the order in which these numbers appear?
8 5 9 1 7 10 2 0"

This has now become a personal crusade to got my own back.

Rant over, I'm now off to find some alcohol to help justify revenge. :aggressive:

I think I have it partial. I hope I can explain it a bit.
When you see the figures, you notice that the 3 - 4 and 6 are not in the line.
Here we go:
You take the 8 - 3 = 5
5 + 4 = 9

1 + 6 = 7
7 + 3 = 10

I don't know how to go from the 2 to the zero in this way.
Perhaps someone else can see it.

Did someone already post the solution on the other forum?

Oh sh*t. It is so simple when you know the solution afterwards.
Yeah, well. Did your *friend* found the solution?

It was her puzzle, so I'm guessing she already knew it.

She's posted another one now...
I started jogging north and I jogged in a straight line for four miles. When I looked at the map, I found out that I had actually jogged two miles north and two miles south.

How was this possible?

I guess it has something to do with holding the map not correctly.
Otherwise I don't have a clue.

I thought it could be something to do with not actually going in a northenly direction but actually jogging in the north, but I have no clue either

My suggestion: If you started 2 miles north of the south pole and started jogging (freezing you butt off) you'll go up and over the pole and start heading south

That sounds like the solution to me. Good thinking.

You guys are far too intelligent, these puzzles and riddles confuse me. Not that it takes too much to do that I admit.

I stick to the simple things in life like "How will Harry return" and his relationship with Selena.
