Ok this is as close as I could get to see the waistcoat

Yip, different tartans. I thought so, thanks for the confirmation.

He suits that particular one which he's wearing even though I don't know it's origin or relevance to Simon. I'd love to know.

I was just interested in an article which was in the Radio Times in 2002 in which he spoke of his preference of MacLeod tartan and the Isle of Lewis.

It is quite strange that in two of the photos it looks blue and the other one looks green. Must just have been the camera angle.

I would still hedge a small bet that the Bafta award appears in some background scene. If I was involved in Casualty in any capacity, I'd do it.

I think I've found an answer to my own query. Simon's waistcoat may very well be the MacLeod of Harris tartan which is different to that of the Isle of Lewis version.

He does look very sexy in it anyway.

I always have loved the idea of a guy in a kilt, don't know why it's just always appealed to me, and I think it's a shame we've never seen Simon in one. I would love to see that

100% agreed, Simon would be amazing in a kilt. He'd have to do the full scotsman bit - commando!

Yammy, Simon in a kilt. Perhaps he and Sean Connery can come together and drink Scottish whisky.

Simon wearing his kilt at a ceilidh (scottish dance) would be nice but you can keep Sean Connery. He annoys me.

I still believe this award was richly deserved, there's not many drama shows which has lasted 21 series'.

Oh, not me. I also love to see him in a film. His accent is so lovely.
I must admit that I find him very attractive as well.

Nah, there's just so many things which put me off Sean Connery. It would take too long to explain.

Like you, I prefer the older man and Simon fits the bill perfectly - he's floats my boat every time. He looked georgous at the Bafta's and looked really chuffed that Casualty won this award.

p.s With regards to the older man issue, Simon@55 years old is quite fine, Sean Connery is 77. Way too old, he's even older than my dad.

I don't look at the age thing. It's the looks that counts to me and how they are inside.
They have a certain glow over themselves.

The worst and most tasteless example of an age gap is Ann Nicole Smith & J Howard Marshall, the Texas oil tycoon. 63 years was the difference there. That gives me the creeps.

I believe 20-25 years is a significant enough difference, I wouldn't go below the 25 years old mark for seeing a younger guy.

The attraction of Simon is that he's ageing fantastically well for being 55 - physically and looks wise. Absolutely amazing.
