I was just wondering what Simon's thoughts would be on us affectionately crazy fans of his. I'm hoping that he is fully aware of the appreciation and goodwill there is towards him and enjoyment of his career.

He seems to be a modest guy who takes great pride in his career achievements. I'm sure there's still a blockbuster of a movie out there for him once his time in Casualty comes to an end.

I've always said I think Simon's best is still to come and I'll stick my neck out to say within the next 3 years is my feeling. I don't necessarily think that it will mean in front of camera either. I am sure his writing, directing and producing have improved along with his acting abilities which will have given him a better depth of understanding and interpretation in many areas and on many levels. Simon has a great ability to absorb his surroundings even if it's not directly involving him.
(I'll shut up now before I sound like a right fruit loop.)

*runs off and hides*

If Simon visits this site, he would laugh and be proud at the same time.
It is due to fans like us that he has a wonderful carreer.
It is because the people wants to see him, otherwise no production house would ask him to play in their show.
I am sure that Simon is fully aware of that. He is a very down to earth man, so...

Simon, if you read this: you got no choice but to invite us all on your mansion, or we will put you out of a job
Just joking, I would like to see him every day on the screen.

He very well may go down the directorial route similar to what Robert Redford has done but continue to keep his options open for a tv, film or on stage opportunities. I really wouldn't like him to disappear from front line performances however good he would be behind the camera or script writing.

Performers, whatever their thing, probably do acknowledge that without Joe Public to support them, they'd be struggling in their field of work.

Would you all go if he actually did? I'd be like

Anyway, back to behind the scenes perhaps he could direct/produce and star in a production at the same time. Was it Relic Hunter that he did that?

Of course we would all go. We probably faint and don't know what to say but at least we have the chance to meet him.
I will bring along a personal nurse just to reanimate me if necessary.

Going by our obsessions and corrupted thoughts on Simon, I think we'd frighten the living daylights out of him. Talk about intimidation!

Hopefully he'd loose all his inhibitions and release a wicked sense of humour and party into the night.

Corky - as Georgina Bouzova (Ellen) called him in her Casualty video interview - we're timid girls really. Good behaviour guaranteed.

I think we all be intimidated by him!
I would not even know what to say to him if he stands in front of me.

Just a small tip Heidi, saying you fancied seeing him in the flesh is not a good opening line.

Hahaha, no I don't think so.
Perhaps I can say: "You are a studd, I mean you own a studd."

I'd suggest he play the funky music and get the party started with plenty of cocktails and party games. Maybe make it a fancy dress party with the winner getting ..................... suggestions please!

I would quite like a tour of the Casualty studios, just to see where it's filmed in person. Or maybe a restaurant date with the georgous Simon.

I'd much prefer to maintain my mental images and imagination of Simon rather than kill the illusion with a one night stand. As you well know, my mind works overtime on a regular basis.

I don't think he is going to be that bad that it kills the illusion hahaha

He wouldn't be bad, very much to the contrary. Fit and enduring I expect.

I think there would be a combination of embarrassment and satisfaction that so many people - 99% females obviously - find him physically attractive and appreciative of his professional achievements in film and tv. To have the 30 year career that he has is a great reflection on his perseverance and respect from those in the business.
