I didn't really realise how much a chequered career Simon's good lady has had, she's got an extensive and successful career behind her.

I must admit to not having seen any of her work but looking up the IMDb on her, it looks pretty impressive. If you consider both their professional achievements plus their stud farm success, it must give them both great satisfaction and pride.

I kinda feel bad, because I know a fair amount about Simon, but not that much about Susan. Really(planning to) should do something about it!

Shelli, I think it is quite normal that you only know a lot about Simon. After all, we are fan of him and not Susan. Of course we want them to have all the luck and love they can get together, but I love Simon and not Susan.

Simon is the central figure of all our focus' but it is nice to have a kind of background knowledge of the woman behind the man. Possibly, her understanding of the business has been a corner stone to their successful personal, business and professional partnerships.

Would David Beckham be of interest to many people and successful without Posh supporting him?

True, but they do seem to kinda come as a pair. At least a quarter of the magazine articles I have are with both of them, so I know a little by that. I do like them together, they seem well suited and I think is because I like them together that I feel bad that I know very little about Susan.

Good point Clare. I don't think Simon would be the same as he is today without her, you can tell that he cares out her deeply and would do anything to make her happy (which is lovely) and she (her influence) makes up a part of who he is.

Being honest, I wouldn't have had any reason to acknowledge her work if she wasn't married to Simon. I hope that doesn't sound ignorant to her contribution to film and tv.

I thought he sounded really sweet and charming in his interview on This Morning with Fern and Phillip when discussing Suzie as he referred to her. They do seem to cherish the little quality time they have together at weekends and holidays. The stud farm is their 'chill out' personal environment.

I've seen "Straw Dogs" a couple of times, it was banned in the UK for many years, it's a strange film but well worth watching.

I've just read a synopsis of Straw Dogs and it sounds interesting to say the least. It might be difficult to locate a film from 1971, how did you manage to see it?

How popular and widely known are Simon and Susan in the United States and worldwide in general? I'm just also wondering how major a contribution Susan has in Simon's future career direction?

I think it was shown on Film Four a few months ago when I saw it recently. I do remember seeing it a few years ago too when my parents got hold of a copy. You never forget the crying and screaming lol.

Amazon have it for £4.48, would you recommend it as good value?

Her concentration and commitment appears to be with their successful stud farm although she did appear in a few episodes of Eastenders a few years ago.

It's quite interesting to know that she dated Prince Charles years & years ago. Simon is certainly much more attractive - no offence Charlie boy!

Any DVD at around £4 is good value for money IMO, might look that up myself (my best buy was a DVD for 15p on ebay!)

£4.49 on Play.com so no postage on top which is the better than 1.50 postage on top at Amazon

I'd say that's a fair price. It's really good the way it's done.

I like the fact Susan isn't the type to kiss and tell, nice to see she kept her relationship with the Prince private, others might not have been so loyal.

I always though she would have made a good bond girl.

You had to mention Bond didn't you. If she was a Bond girl Simon would have to be Bond!
