Well the film didn't get a good review in the paper I read (pretty scummy paper tho) however they did say it works better as a play. So I'm curious to see it. Goes to find a review in a more reputable newspaper

Theatre v big screen of whatever production is going to vary significantly because a) the obvious casting and b) live performance is usually much more intimate due to audience interaction. I can appreciate those facts due to seeing The Full Monty in theatre a few weeks back.

The glaring bonus with Sleuth would be being able to see Simon perform live, I'm sure he'll receive a rousing reception from his fans while fully appreciating that he's one piece of the whole play jigsaw. We shouldn't disregard the other cast members.

I can see me going to see the film so I can make a fair judgement & comparison.

I am going to go and see it beforehand, so that this time I actually understand what's going on, and don't have to think

It is written for a theatre so I can imagine that the film is not that good

I have now added the full dates - Thanks to a very nice person who sent me the list. Would of had them last weekend but it went a bit pear shaped and was sent the wrong dates. Bless.

I kinda badgered them this morning again for them, so will apologise for that and would like to thank them for the info, very much appreciated

I've been onto the Theatre Royal (Glasgow) website and Sleuth ain't on the schedule yet and can't seem to get anyone at the other end of a phone.

May 26th-31st are the dates for me - 6 months of anticipation.

I might have to take out one of those massive billboard adverts to warn city centre revellers to be prepared, there's a prominent electronic screen at the Royal Concert Hall - that would be perfect!

Add one Belgian and possibly one (more) German to the multitude of nationalities who frequent Glasgow city centre and it'll be a Simon Party.

Only a few of the locations tickets are on sale for. However Clare informs me tickets go on sale tommorrow for Glasgow. This isn't an offical release of dates, that will come later, this is a few people digging/asking for information and getting very lucky.

Please be patient, we've been very lucky to know Simon's going to be doing this for over 4 months. Otherwise we would have found out with the offical release which still hadn't come
