How do like to enjoy your weekend? What's your plans for the forthcoming one? Personally, from August-May, it generally revolves around the football season although plans are flexable and can be adjusted to suit circumstances.

Tomorrow, I'm heading into the city centre to pick up a pre-ordered birthday gift. I can be in and out in 1 hour.

It starts with an early morning, breakie, hoovering, dusting, dishes, ironing, cook dinner, wash up hoovering dusting coursework, tea and then I'm usually running late for work.

As that was sat and a late night Sunday will be a later start so around 9am and that will be coursework, driving aroudn doing things for family, paperwork, cook a meal, wash up, coursework and thats it.

Same as every other day really

Mines generally doing site stuff - large tasks I can't get done in the evenings after work.

I have to cook for the family - so trying to find new ways to poison people

I'll go out with my mates sometimes - generally out drinking with them when I do go out

Sorry I didn't mean to sound ungrateful, I appreciate that not everyone gets the chance to get away, a holiday is what you make of it regardless of the weather and I should be thankful.

I normally give guitar lessons on Saturday, but now during the school vacation, I don't.
Normally, in the weekends, during the day, I'm mostly home alone.
My husband has to work on Saturday during the day in the butcher shop and sometimes on the evenings being a waiter at wedding parties.
On Sunday, he sleeps in late and in the afternoon he always goes and play cards with an aunt and an uncle.
But I usualy go out on Sunday to have a large walk in a walking club with some friends.
And if I'm home alone, my pet friends keep me company and this computer.

I'm really pleased that I'm not alone in enjoying a quiet(ish) lifestyle during the weekends, I'd half expected some fellow Simon lovers to be enjoying your local city/town centre nightlife quite regularly. I don't mind it once in a blue moon but I'm not particularly a Friday or Saturday night regular to be honest. Maybe I'm getting old but I don't know how people can be bothered 'watering' themselves at home before going out at 10 or 11 O'clock at night, I'm usually coming home about midnight.

Q the under 25's for your opinions!

Clare, I feel just the same. I think we are getting old. I prefer a night at home in the sofa over a loud pub. When I was about 20 years younger, the situation was different. And we already went out to the pub around 7 or 8 o'clock and be home around midnight.
Now the situation is enourmously changed. Like you said, young people only go out around midnight and come home in the morning.
No, thank you, not for me anymore.

When we were youngesters 6-10years my Mum worked in a pub and me and the landlords kids were never allowed in the pub during open hours but we could buzz down if we needed anything or wanted food which we loved as we spent till 8 or if the pub was busy 9pm playing.

When we got to teenagers the landlord changed and me and his teenage son, my step bro and sis and I spent all our time in the flat again but were only allowed down in emergencys so again we never went into the pub when it was open as it was portrayed as slightly dangerous for us, since tehn none of us has been into pubs until late we always just go for the odd drink and thats it.

I think its about culture and how we are brought up, these days children are being allowed to run riot in pubs more and more and are therefore not respecting that alcohol can be dangerous etc which is why younger people drink more and stay out drinking for longer.

When I do go out it's generally round mates houses and I sometimes stay the night watching movies or just chatting. I have never been clubbing, never will. I don't often go to the pubs in town - too noisy I like to be able to hear what people are saying when I'm out

Saturday nights with Harry in Casualty DEFINATELY means spending it in front of the television so you'll know what I'm doing the next couple of weeks. Friday's are open to offer. I usually find a Sunday a day for doing all the "can't be bothered" jobs usually left undone Monday-Saturday.
