So what book (or magazine) are you reading?

Currently re-reading Stephen King's It! Forgot how hard going it is(last read over 6 years ago), but a good read. I'm just over 500 pages and not even half way through it!

'Blood, Sweat and Tea.' It's written by a Paramedic from London (so good job its a book, not spoken word, eh Kerri!) it's different entries from his blog, in chronological order. Fantastic read, funny, witty but also has me in tears at some points.
My next book I have to read is ' A Paramedics diary, life and death on the streets' This too written by a paramedic, not the same on though! Looks a good read!

Currently browsing through HELLO!, Rod Stewart & his family are in this week's edition. I don't usually buy any of the glossy mags but only a handful of celebrities would attract me to purchase, I generally don't care for the minor British or foreign royalty whom I've never heard of.

For some reason I now have a draw full of issues of Hello! all with Simon and Susan in (all except one - which as it has Prince Harry in  )

I was reading a book of Val McDermid. I say was, because last Tuesday I had to go to the hospital and brought my book with me. Unfortunately I forgot to take it back with me. When I was home I realised this and called the hospital immediately. No luck, they did not find a book. So I guess someone else saw it and took it with him.
I'm a bit disappointed. It was a great book and I was half way through.

I have a bit of an obsession with books at present.

I read a book called 'Wasted' by Mark Johnson a few weeks ago which was really good, then I began reading 'The catcher in the rye' but I've stopped at the moment as i'm finding it a tad boring, has anybody read it? Is it worth continuing? Everyone rates it that I've spoken to.

So then I read 'A boy called it' which was very sad and moving!
Now I'm reading Stephen Fry's autobiography.
And then found a book called 'Meetings with Morrissey' last night, but at £13 I can't afford it right now :( But I'm desperate to read it!!

I've read it, but I found it hard going and ultimately not really worth it. I think most people read it so that they can say they've read it - as it's regarded as a classic - not because they particularly enjoy it.

I bought Paul O'Grady's autobiography today so I'll get started on that shortly, it's the 1st book I've bought in absolutely ages. Every couple of years (if lucky) is the regularly of book buying for me.

Aaaargh - it can't be only 14 weeks :o I'll never be ready in time. We've such an enormous family, and so many people to buy for, I'll be broke! What do I mean? - I already am!! And we send about 100 cards, which I usually make - I think I need some extra time for my birthday!!
