016 – Most defining moment(s) that made him (Harry) who he is today?
(Long silence) Probably the death of his wife
I asked this question as I thought the same as Simon, Harry before Beth's death is completely different to Harry after Beth's death.
This might be because that the writers were still trying to figure out Harry - it was fairly early on that she died or it might have been a conscious decision somewhere.
If you watch the early episodes Harry is much more playful, he jokes around a lot more - he still knows when to draw the line but he still has fun. After her death he's much more serious - probably due to depression for (up till mid-late s18) then after he's still quite serious - he never goes back to what he was before, there are moments when it slips through, joking around with Jim, getting his own back on Woody and Luke etc. I think late s21 (ie pre MP Harry and then MP Harry) and early 22 are most like the 'old Harry'
So what do you think his most defining moment was?
