hahaha! That is so weird!!! :S

I like the way it's worded... it reminds me of a theme park , with "fast track" passes to meet the celebs

I don't think I'll be going

LOL. Interesting
You have to pay for someone to sign a scrap of paper or photo... as much as I like Simon and respect him I wouldn't pay him to sign my photo. I don't like the sound of it, at all.

But you've heard of conventions right?

This is a convention, not as big as some my the looks ie memorabilia/comic con/collectomania - I might go just so I can fully claim my geek status and say I've been to a con

I think it's because Simon is 'easily' accessible - for some people it's their only chance to meet the person they're a fan of, so can be a good thing.

I met Micheal Shanks (Stargate) at a kind of mini con - it was an evening with him - Q&A session and autograph signing - was quite nice. Plus if you're a geeky collector (like me) you can get memorabilia/merchandise etc

Even if it wasn't on the same day as Wicked day I still don't think I'd go. I think it's a fantastic idea for people who possibly haven't met their idols before and I'm all for conventions, they rock but I think I'll stick to freezing my bum off outside the Palladium. :P Tee hee.

I would go if I could. It is only so faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away for me....
I think I have to talk with my husband and try to convince him that we have to move to the UK. There is no other alternative to feed my Simon hunger.

Yeah I see your point, deffinatly, but still seems weird having to pay for an autograph?

Well technically you're not paying Simon for it - the money goes to the 'event' as far as I'm aware - the event pays for the rent for the rooms the event is held in - any cost from people appearing (x2 days + for hotel, food etc), cost of equipment used on the day (mike systems for the Q&A sessions etc), staff costs for those organising the event - it's just helping to offset the costs of running the event (other income comes from tickets sales and dealers renting space to sell merchandise etc)
