We are usually woken up about six by two very excited children, then we go down stairs open our presents have a stream off visitors all day, we have our dinner at home just the four off us, and my Mum comes round on a night time for tea, and we always eat and drink to much.

Christmas day has a yearly regular routine of:

Church service at 10am before returning home for a roll 'n' sausage and/or bacon and opening of prezzies. At midday, we visit family . Dinner is approximately 3pm and by the time 8pm(ish) arrives, it's chill out time.

In the evening, I prefer relaxation mode rather than hitting the city/town centre pubs & clubs. I wouldn't fuel their greed for opening on Christmas day though I do appreciate the extra costs.

I love seeing all the kids dressed beautifully, the majority of them with one of Santa's toys. That's when you know which kids have behaved themselves for the full month previously.

James might be working on Christmas Eve, and is working on Boxing Day, so we shall be at home. We'll have James' Mum with us; she likes to go to the Watchnight Service, so we'll probably all do that, and then we are visiting friends on Christmas Day afternoon - chilled, lots of blether, open a few prezzies, eat a bit - should be good. At least Mum will be easier since she got her new hearing aids - I won't have to shout or say everything three times - or be deafened by the TV.

However, we usually get three Christmases! We're going down to my parents on the 19th for about 4 days, when we'll also see my brother and his family, and then sometime after Christmas we'll be up north to daughter Jo and her family for the other Christmas with the rest of the family. Because James was married before, we have a very extended family, with 5 kids, their kids and a varying number of adults. It sounds weird, but we all get on really well!! :P

Poor you!! That's really sad - will you get the evening together? And if so, does that mean you have to cook? Hope Santa is good to you to compensate!!

Aw, you're a fantastic Santa's little helper. Check your garden hut/garage because he's on his way back to Lapland, your prezzies should be there. It was that sprinkling of magic dust which allowed him access.

Bets on who will be first to be keeled over c/o Mr Malibu or whoever!

I'm on the cider.

Can I bet on myself?

Oh, I'm kinda swaying today - thank God I only have to fall into bed. If bets were for today, I've lost! How was your cider yesterday Kerri?

As per usual, it'll be the traditional church service at 10am. For Christmas day dinner, it's China Buffet King this year for a change and onwards to my sister's house. No doubt I'll have to endure Eastenders
