I too have thought for a while that not all is well with Simon - he's dwarfed in his suits on TV just lately - I thought cancer straight away - hes definitely not well.
Surprised at lung cancer tho - and its a secondary cancer to his bowel thing. I hope to God he gets over this, but I doubt it somehow (sorry everyone).
Get well SOON Simon xxx

Sorry 'Guest', absolutely NO negative thoughts allowed here, we understand all the possible outcomes but are only contemplating the positive ones.

With the grace of God, medical resources and bags full of support, Simon can pull through this and enjoy many more years of happiness.

I was in London for a meet with friends when I got the horrible news via the Daily Mail - and then had no reliable internet access - therefore I'm a little late responding. As everybody else here on this forum I'm totally gutted. My thoughts are with Simon and my heart goes out to him and his wife. Both are so brave in dealing with this terrible illness - and I pray that yes, Simon, you can beat this!!

I am not a big poster on here, but just had to add my thoughts on this sad news. I am so sad to hear this news, it is an awful diagnosis - as someone who has lost both parents within the last 2 years to this desease,I understand what it can do.

My thoughts and prayers are with Simon & Susan.

God Bless

xxx

I was very sorry to hear of Simon's battle with bowel cancer, and would like to send him and Susan best wishes from Bowel & Cancer Research (reg. charity number 1119105).
I came across the story in the Daily Mail as we have just had a piece in "me and my op" covering a procedure which was pioneered by our charity.
Cancer is a challenge to cope with in any event, and I am sure that when one has the sort of profile that Simon has it brings a whole new set of challenges.
Bowel & Cancer Research is dedicated to better understanding bowel cancer and to finding better treatments.

Simon and Susan, we wish you all the very best.

Yours, Deborah Gilbert, Head of Development, Bowel & Cancer Research.

As everyone else, I, too, was shocked and upset to hear this news. I wonder now how Simon could act and even sing with such a terrible disease in his body. And even now he is eager to pass on information to others to help them, too. He is truly brave and does what he can to regain his health.
I wish for the best for him and his wife. Thank you for your encouraging story, Carl!

It's really nice to see so many lovely messages, especially from new posters! :)

I don't think there is anything more I can add, and even if I tried everyone else has worded it so much better than I ever could. :)
