I am such a huge simon fan - haven't posted about his illness before now but reading everyone's thoughtful messages made me want to contribute to all the well wishes that have been sent to Simon and Susan. My thoughts and prayers are with them and anyone else who is fighting their own battle at the moment.

I have just heard about this terrible news, I am deverstated for him and his family! I am keeping my hopes up that he will get better and have a longer life entertaining us with his fantastic acting skills! Why does this kinda thing happen to the worlds nicest people!?! I hope he gets through this! My thoughts and prayers are with you always Simon.

I met Simon for an autograph after watching Sleuth and had thought it was remarkable how fantastic he was for the part, to do that knowing what he knew about his own health makes me realise how strong he is.
Ok positive thoughts,
Nasty diagnosis but in a very strong fit man who is going to have a lot of physical reserve to count on
Had operation in 2006 so main bulk of tumour gone at that stage
Spots on lungs, I'm not sure if found at one year after operation or at time of op but whichever it is hopefully this means that they are only progressing very slowly. I gather at one stage there had been no progression between scans so hopefully that adds weight to the theory that this is slow growth. Chemo, I'm not clear when is happening or if has had but hopefully will knock it's progress.
Simon has worked through a long time of those lung spots being there and therefore has massive mental strength which is going to help now and in the future.
Good strong relationship and lots of support here important in staying positive.

Best wishes, Emma

St Peregrine is the patron saint of cancer patients, let's hope Simon's health falls under his guidance.

I was devastated when I heard the news about his cancer.
Luckily he is a strong man. Fighting this thing can be hard but we are here to support him.

I just wanted to tip you, Simon, about the approach to cancer provided by dr Robert Young. www:phmiracleliving.com
His theory is based upon alkalizing the body because cancer is a result of too much of an acidic environment in the body.
He has an incredible success rate in treating cancer and all other illnesses, and it is so simple!
I hope from the bottom of my heart that you will at least look at the page, I think you will find it worth your time. (I have experienced complete recovery from my own illness with this approach).

Wish you all the best for the future

Simon,

Lisa from Alberta Canada here... had no idea mate that you weren't well. But you are a determined sod, so I am in no doubt that you are hitting it head on :) Positive vibes coming across the pond to you my friend.

Whenever I see beautiful arabs I always think of you and your passion for horses. We should catch up one of these days - I will make you laugh as this Brit is now a fully fledged Cowgirl!!! And...equine laser therapist. Yep... we have both had lots of changes eh? (look a canadian eh? LOL).

Take care Simon.

Lots of love
the Gypsy

I only found out about Simons illness last week on tv. I was shocked, i met him in Sheffield in May 2008 when he was doing Sleuth with Michael Praed. I thought what a nice and friendly guy he was he looked so well. I would like to send my good wishes to him and Susan. xxxx

What I do not get is how this stuff can travel from the bowel to the lungs!

How in the heck does that work?

Anyway, Simon, I hope that you manage to pull through this. Doctors are always finding treatments for this stuff, and you always struck me as a stubborn individual.

Peace and God bless both of you.
