In reply to <a href="https://www.simonmaccorkindale.net/faq/#comment-35463">Searching</a>.

Thanks, Shelliwood. Yes, I had already seen that on AOO and assumed it wasn't the same fiction due to that one Ty sentence. (As I recall, it was well written... meaning keeping the characters as they were, IIRC.) Well, it has U.K. English spelling. (I remember some 10+ years ago, losing the fic I was writing. Heartbreaking!)

After many years, I am revisiting this series. Still a LOT of fun, with high production values and such a terrific performance on the part of Simon. For those interested, there's quite a few old websites. In fact, I haven't even clicked everywhere yet. This is the old website that I was talking about, here is the main page I'm looking at, with lots of links to peruse:

https://web.archive.org/web/20091027125621/http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Vault/5146/manimal.html

It was Geocities! When clicking any of their links, if it doesn't work, I try to right click and grab the original url, deleting the "web archive" part. Then I paste it onto the way back machine (archive.org) and hit send. Then it's a matter of going back to the oldest date to find the pages, because somehow those crawlers have a way of keep crawling pages which no longer exist! (One link I kept search has been crawled by their robots, even in 2020 but was defunct for the past 10 years!)

Sorry, for making this so long. Here is the fan fic I started reading (but then paused to watch the pilot again, so you might finish it before I do!) I don't think AOO has all 4. (And I'm not sure if it is the original author who posted there, or someone pretending to be the original author... hate when people do that!) At least, we have this to prove it belonged to someone else, should they not be the author:

https://web.archive.org/web/20020224021553/http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Dungeon/9594/tiger.html

Anyway, it's fun revisiting the past. I've been filling up the IMDb page with trivia and goofs galore, too. (There was already quite a bit of those, mine are the ones that only have my one upvote!) Hope you enjoy these pages and my humble contributions. Feel free to upvote what you agree with, I pretty much did the entire episodes last week, when I finished revisiting the entire series. There's too many detractors out there. I have always loved this show, and no apologies for doing so. If only today's shows were even half as fun to watch!

Link in this respect would be fine as it’s not ‘spam’ and on topic.

Was going to suggest AO3 they have a wide selection. I do have some fanzines so will have a look through them too

In reply to <a href="https://www.simonmaccorkindale.net/faq/#comment-35460">Searching</a>.

Ok! I followed a trail all the way to the Internet Archive. It's a maze because most recent years have captured completely blank pages, so it took a lot of digging but I just now found a page with 4 Manimal fan fics. I don't know if I should post this here or at the forum (which I realized, after I sent the above, that you have a button just for that! Sorry, I missed it last time!) Anyway, one of the stories is at AOO. Lake of Ghosts.

This is strange, I don't recall reading that one back then. The reason is I stopped reading it after just a few intro lines because his (or her) Ty is out of character! (He calls J.C. "My dear professor"... unless writer is using Glynn Turman's Ty? (To be willing to read someone's fan fic, I need to have the characters talk exactly like they do on the show. I can't fathom Michael D. Roberts' "street-smart" Ty saying those words!)

Anyway, I'm going to compile those links. (I found several, still digging!) I read the forum rules: no posting links. Otherwise you can find one fan fic at AOO, not sure how good that one is. A ton of cool retro stuff to browse thru, so I'm going back... If anyone wants links, please post a reply on here and let me know where to paste them. (Email I'm using here is not likely to work, so I won't get it if you email me back.)

Hi,I am looking for the URL of a now (apparently) defunct MANIMAL FANSITE. Does anyone have it? I believe it was a man who ran it, not sure if in USA or UK, but it was in English. I think it was the first Manimal fansite on the web. Last I remember cruising it is circa 2005-2008. I wanted to check if any of the internet archives have copies of the pages. Particularly, it had 4 Manimal fanfics that were surprisingly well written, which I'd like to revisit.

Or Shelliwood, if you have copies, is there any way you could post them somewhere and then link me in reply, please? This website seems to not have been updated since 2019, when the posted copyrights date ends. And the forum, which I can't find now, seems to have died off circa 2010, as well. Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

For a 'Fan Club' you can join our forum/community here and keep up to date with everything Simon. When we get any news I usually send an email to all members in case they haven't been to the site recently to see for themselves

Good Morning, Shelli (is it Shelli? or Shelliwood? or something completely different?)

my name is Ingrid Gabriel, I'm living in Vienna - and therefore only have limited access to british
broadcasting - right now BBC prime (my only source; sigh) graciously enough repeats episodes of Casualty with gorgeous AND
talented Simon!! YAY! so I started to google and found your site. BRILLIANT site!!! Really Fanfabulous!!!
Absolutely addictiv!

Which means, now I want to join a Fanclub. Do you know how I could manage that? Is there a way of being on
a list or receiving a fanletter in order to learn about Mr. MacCorkindale's theatre work in advance?
I'd absolutely love to see him on stage and realised while browsing your site I missed him by a hair's
breath (is that the correct phrase?) in his first musical. grrrr to me!!

so to never make that mistake again... fanclub! Can you help me?
thank you so much
love from Vienna
