A disfigured elderly casualty of bus crash dies with her husband holding her hand, but then she walks into casualty, it was the woman who stole her handbag who died. Also in the bus crash is champion slimmer who turns out to be using tapeworms to lose weight. Abs helps suicidal man suffering from depression, it’s being caused by calcium deficiency which can be treated. Bex tries to ask Luke out, but is rebuked. On his first day back, Simon feels the pressure & uses his secret stash of pills after being sidelined by Harry. Lara is furious with Simon

As the two armed robbers do a runner they take Nikki and Lara with them as hostages. After driving off in the ambulance, Nikki and Lara are tied up in the back before they stop at a multi-storey car park. With the police catching up to them one of the robbers takes one of the hostages out of the ambulance to show they will shoot. However it takes an unexpected twist when the hostage is pushed off. But who is it Nikki or Lara and will they survive?

Description: Luke and Josh find themselves being held at gunpoint by a man who demands drugs from the ambulance. There was a struggle in the back of the ambulance and a gunshot was fired. It turned out that the gun had gone off and the man, Greg dies leaving Luke feeling guilty when he finds out he has a family. Roxy continues to spend all her time at the hospital with William. Tally hides important information about a patient from Lara putting the patient’s life at risk. When Lara questions Tally, Tally says Lara deserved it for stealing Simon away from her. Later on Simon tells Lara he loves her.

Description: Tally warns Lara her time is up; if she does not have the decency to tell her dad about her and Simon, then she will. Lara admits the affair to Harry, who tries to hide his jealousy and, when she pushes him further, he announces the affair to the entire staff. Tally takes the opportunity to stir things up and lies to her dad, saying that Simon said he loved her. She turns on the tears and claims that Simon has messed her around and she does not know where she stands. Harry is furious with Simon and has it out with him.

Description: Lara is confused by her Valentine’s present – the adoption of a koala at Holby Zoo. She suspects Harry and asks Abs for his opinion, who is amused by someone likening Lara to a koala, “cute, cuddly, Australian, aggressive when provoked…!”

Harry later asks Lara how many Valentines she received, confirming her suspicions about the identity of her secret admirer. She makes it clear that his efforts are unappreciated.

A woman, Anne, with severe abdominal pain is brought in with a very concerned husband, Matt. Ann has been trying for a baby and worries that she could be miscarrying after finally getting pregnant. Matt eventually confesses to Tess and Harry, that Ann had been slimming to increase her chances of conceiving but Matt was jealous of the attention she attracted when she was slimmer, and so had been putting steroids in her food to make her gain weight. They are all furious, and Ann doesn’t want to see Matt ever again, especially as she has peritonitis and may lose the baby she had tried so hard for.

Description: Harry puts Simon and Lara at risk while at an outdoor pursuit centre for management training. Rattled by Lara’s late-night shenanigans with the instructor, Harry stubbornly ignores the marked route and heads off down a darkened tunnel during a cave orienteering exercise. After losing his footing, he slips down the shaft and hurts his leg. In attempt to rescue him, they all end up trapped in freezing, wet conditions and the instructor is badly injured. Anger turns to panic when the hole begins to fill with water. Cramped and cold, they reveal intimacies until Lara decides to venture back into the tunnel. When the only thing left to do is swim underwater to an opening, Simon volunteers to go first and secure the route. He courageously helps Harry, but in a moment of confusion knocks his head against a rock and does not resurface.

Lara then confronts Harry about his endless sniping and snide comments that contain veiled reference to her professionalism. In the showdown that follows, she accuses him of being vindictive and warns that he will be reported by Tess if matters are not resolved. He is broken and admits that he just wants them to be close again.

Description: Bex has lost her makeup bag and thinks someone must have stolen it from her car. She talks to a Colin Evans from security and asks him to look at the CCTV tapes, but he thinks it is far too much work, especially since it is only makeup and Bex not even is sure it was stolen from the car, because she had not locked the car. He says that there is a whole box full of tapes and it would take him all day to look though all of them. Bex is slowly getting annoyed and simply takes the box from him and walks away with it, planning to watch them herself. All day she is watching the tapes while working, but instead of finding out what happened to her makeup bag she finds something more interesting – one of the CCTV tape shows Luke and Lara’s intimate relations on hospital property. Bex gathers everyone in the staff room and puts the tape on, but as they are watching it Lara walks into the staff room, shocked to find out they had been taped. Lara tells Luke about it, but he seems to think it is quite funny and simply says that Bex must be short of money and probably was selling tickets to everyone. At the end of the day Colin gets the tape back and takes it to Harry, saying that he should watch it. Harry has a word with Lara and angry, he accuses Lara of breaching her contract. Though embarrassed, Lara plays the jealousy card and judging from Harry’s reaction, she seems not to have been far from the truth.
